No I havent contacted Brian as of yet. Do you think that I should? I took to a shop and it is the transmission and I dont have the money to get it fixed so it is just sitting and I am back to square one. Thanks Starshine, its good to be back been awhile alot going on.

I havent been here in awhile and just want to stop in to say all is well and I am doing so so with my health. I am so Glad that theThe storm Earl Didnt do much damage to us up the Eastern Seaboard on this Labor Day weekend! It has turned into a Beautiful Saturday after all. Hope that everyone can find something to be Happy about today and everyday as just sitting and thinnking of only the negative thing's just wont get you anywhere!

Well, I am in desperate need of help. I was donated a car from a wonderful person through free charity Cars in January as I am Disabled raising Grandbabies and had no reliable transporation to get us back and forth across the Bay Bridge tunnel in Va to our Specialist Appointments. You can understand the blessing this was for me. Well, two weeks ago today the cars started making a really loud squealling noise. Took it to a mechanic here on the Island of Chincoteague Virginia where we live and have been told that it is more than likely the Transmission!  Lord knows I dont have a dime to get it fixed as I live off of my SSD and am raising grands age's 5 and down. It embarrases me to even think I have to ask for help. But I am here in all of my Glory asking this community of wonderful people to please give me some answers. If you have any suggestions or can help me in anyway or know someone in my area that might donate their services to help us you just dont know what that would mean to us. I was always the type of person that was independant and helped others and now here I am. I have had to Humble myself and come to terms with the fact that I have to reach out to others. I really appreciate you reading this and Hope that maybe someone out here will know someone or something that I can do to solve this issue.

I am so upset I just dont know quite what to do! I was donated a car by a wonderful person through Free Charity Cars in January as I am Disabled and Have to Travel 140 plus miles to specialist every month. I am raising Grandchildren also. Last week the car started making a terrible noise so I took it to a mechanic and he is telling me that he thinks it is something in the Transmission! So, As you would guess I am back to No Transpo again. I havent the money to get this fixed. Is there an Angel Out there that might be able to help???? I feel so ashamed having to ask for help but I havent any alternative. I have to get to my doctors appoint on the 17th of this month and do not know how I am going to get there. I just keep praying and I hope that something will happen that I will be able to either get this fixed or get a way down there and back. Thank You all for letting me vent.

Just sitting here wondering how Im going to get the car fixed that I was donated! They say it is probaly the transmission! I dont have that kinda money. Gee Wiz does it ever stop??????? Been so Ill and I just feel like given up. I know that the Good Lord gives us no more than he thinks we can handle but my bucket runeth over.

Dont feel embaressed. We all fall short from time to time. I would like for you to go on the following web site: www.freecharitycars.org, It is a wonderful site. I met alot of wonderful people on that site and I was also donated a car by a wonderful couple. Also, go on modestneeds.com, now that site may not help you asap but they also do wonderful things for family's in need. Please keep me informed and check those site's out asap. I will keep you in my thoughts. If I can think of anything else I will send you a message.

Hi Starshine! I have not been well in awhile. I have been in and out of the hospital quite a bit. Have been fighting off infection in my Mastoid Bone that went into my brain and I had to be takin out of one hospital to one across the Bay and was in for sometime. I am finally getting myself back up alittle but with my disease it is taking me along time. I had now energy other than too get up long enuf to use bathroom or clean myself up with help. I am finally able to take care of some of these things again on my own. BIg Feat for me after all of this but the Good Lord has given me the strenghth. Thanks to him and my Doctors! How are you doing? I hope that all is fine your way.

These are Two of my Grandbabie's that live with me. Annabell which is 2 and Tyler which is 4 and is one of my special need's Grandbabie's! I have a total of 6 grand's here in my home. I am also disabled. I went on this wonderful site called www.FreeCharityCars.com! In the hope's of maybe receiving a car or maybe some Financial assistance in getting my old clunker fixed. You see I have to travel 145 miles one way to my Dr's appointments every 20 day's along with the two special needs children in my home.Well, I Got A Call! I had been Granted A CAR! I could not Beleive It! But while there I recieved more than just relieable transportation! I found a Family, one that is Loving and Caring and that does for each other Selflessly! It is one amazing place! If not for the Founder Brian Menzies and the FCC Staff making this all possible I do not know where so many of us would be right now.Please go in check out this wonderful site rather you are in need of Transportation or Just to be there in support of this wonderful cause. Also, go to your local housing Authority and Social Service's and ask them about a program called Homelessness Intervention, I believe that is what it is called here in Virginia. Good Luck Honey. Have you tried going to Social Security and asking if there was any program's out there to help or agencies? What about the Housing authority or Depart of Social Service's? They cant help out at all? Just a thought.

God Bless You Barbara. I went through Legal Aide. Have you gone there yet? First Appeal and I was approved. Please let me know how thing's go for you.
